So inconspicuous from the outside. Happy to have gone in. The food is great, really nice German cuisine, not a lot of choice but great quality, that's how it should be. The super friendly team at the country inn reads almost every wish from your lips, the warm atmosphere is hard to beat, and the food is top notch! ? The great rooms are comfortable and spacious, the furnishings leave nothing to be desired. ? In a nutshell ... the Spieß family loves to be guests.

Food is great, we have been regular customers here for years. Price performance .... top ... Friendliness of the service always top. But today on 09/20/2020 the service was not friendly.

Unbeatable taste and quality! You can tell that the family used to have a butcher's shop. The game dishes are particularly recommended. Friendly hosts, a lovingly furnished guest room and a beer garden in the middle of the village invite you to linger. The price-performance ratio is also right here!

This hotel and restaurant has the warm and welcoming feel of a bed & breakfast. The family that owns and runs this hotel are so hospitable and make you feel like your the most important guest there. When I travel, I can stay at any hotel I want, but I will always choose Zur Post when I'm in this area. It is my new favorite place. The rooms are very nice and clean. The food is fantastic and the place is beautiful, yet homey. I highly recomend this hotel and restaurant.

As always, on Sunday we were very peacefully with our visit. Despite full house, no long waiting times, the service was very friendly, the goose breast excellent. We always like to come here again. ??

Here we married a few years ago and had our wedding party. An unforgettable experience. Great bourgeois cuisine with a little something more. Large portions, surprising and very tasty creations. From the beginning to the dessert a major hit. Highly recommended for celebrations of any kind Not only at weddings. We are always happy to be here!

Nice german restaurant, warm and cozy atmosphere typical bavarian. The menu is diversified, there're a lot of smaller dishes for the little hunger, also cold "Brotzeit" items and a regular menu with a seasonal selection as well. I had the steak and pork medaillions with mushroom sauce, rösti and vegetables. It was delicious except the mushrooms which came out of a can. That was disappointing. Overall a good restaurant and we'll be back.

The atmosphere is very nice in a more Bavarian fashion. Had not gone here in years after our last couple experiences with sub-par food. Gave it another go and were glad we came back. Food was very good, though the wait staff was a bit inattentive as we had to ask several times for a second glass, and then it never was brought to the table. Will try this place again.

We were there for dinner during the week. Schnitzel, with fries, which is always possible ... Not here, the schnitzel is almost swum from it all oil, taste a disaster by the many oil. Operations were not attentive, in the bill were our three cyclists (even mixed) on the bill, where then was considered, if we then do not have to pay 4, because the one bottle is now open ??♀️ sorry, works not, then you say from the outset there are only two cyclists ?♀️

Was here many years ago when we lived in Vilseck. This is STILL our favorite restaurant that we still tell others about. We wish we had never left Germany. We have a friend arriving in Germany for a 15 month stay--gave her the info for this amazing place. It is a MUST!! Hopefully, one day we will be back for a visit.
